First casting call we've had for this project... For those of you that don't know or are new to the name V.C.R Entertainment, we started working on "Prey For Alice" in January 2012 after our first short "Christina" had to be cancelled because of an almost fatal car accident that happened during filming (you can read more about the accident here). Producer Jerry Garcia had been invited to the set to check out V.C.R Entertainment founder, Victor Garcia, in action, Victor created such an impression that Jerry asked for his help in writing a short, "I want a short that has to do with Alice In Wonderland." Joshua Guerrero, a producer at the time, added the thought of having "characters played like chess pieces". In that 1 hr meeting, Victor wrote up the entire treatment for a feature, with a sequel to boot.
In our most recent trip to L.A, we met with Producer James Tucker, whom has shown interest in turning "Prey For Alice" into a TV or DTS (direct to streaming) show. So we held our first round of auditions for Zombie Rest Home today at C A Z T studios. If you haven't heard about this facility, I encourage every filmmaker and casting director to look them up at cazt.com! They are a FREE casting space in Los Angeles. We will definitely be doing all our casting here whenever possible.
Saw a good amount of actors, but I would've liked to have seen more. Then again what can you do? Production Title: Prey For Alice Teaser #5
